Terms of Service — Kanta

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Kanta, the hospital operational intelligence platform operated by Zyntel Co. Limited ("Zyntel"). By accessing or using Kanta, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service description

Kanta is a software platform that provides hospital operations teams with equipment tracking, maintenance management, lab quality control monitoring, and related analytics. Kanta is operated by Zyntel Co. Limited, a company incorporated in Uganda.

2. Free plan

Kanta offers a free tier with full access to core features including equipment tracking and lab monitoring. The free tier is available indefinitely with no time limit. Zyntel reserves the right to introduce feature limits or premium tiers with advance notice to existing users.

3. Accounts and access

You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use Kanta for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable Ugandan law or international law
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its related systems
Upload malicious code, viruses, or any software designed to damage or interfere with the service
Use the service to store or transmit personally identifiable health data beyond what is necessary for the intended purpose

5. Data and privacy

Your use of Kanta is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Kanta, you consent to the collection and use of information as described therein. You retain ownership of all data you input into Kanta. We will not access your data except as necessary to provide the service or comply with legal obligations.

6. Healthcare data responsibility

Kanta is an operational management tool. It is not a clinical decision support system and should not be used as the sole basis for clinical decisions. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Kanta complies with applicable healthcare regulations in your jurisdiction, including any requirements relating to the handling of patient data.

7. Service availability

Zyntel will make reasonable efforts to maintain Kanta's availability. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice where possible. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party infrastructure, internet disruptions, or force majeure events.

8. Intellectual property

Kanta, including its software, design, and documentation, is owned by Zyntel Co. Limited. These Terms do not grant you any intellectual property rights in Kanta. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on Kanta without express written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zyntel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Kanta. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at contact@zyntel.net. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Kanta after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
